A few days before Christmas, our Etsy friend, Sandra lost her husband to cancer. It was discovered in an advanced state and he was gone in a matter of months, forty years old. Sandra and her husband were self employed as restorers of historical tiles, so seven or eight months before his death they weren't able to work. He, too ill, she, taking care of him. They have a five years old boy.

Sandra's Etsy team, EST spirit wants to help her, and so we are organizing a raffle to collect money. There are more than FIFTY prizes to be won, all of them donated by her team members. We will run this raffle for ten days, and at the end of these ten days, more than FIFTY WINNERS will get a prize. There are items for women, men and children, for every taste. Ceramic Angel Christmas Ornaments

Looking for a great ornament to give that perfect touch to your christmas tree? Or looking for a present to give to your fabourite auntie? Then make sure to take a look at these ceramic angels!

Some of these angel christmas ornaments look like cookies, don't they? Make some angel shaped cookies this christmas for your loved ones! Wrap the nicely and place them on their door handle on christmas morning for a little surprise!

Here is a simple receipe to make 48 cookies:

4 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. powdered type artificial sweetener
1/2 c. nonfat dry milk powder
1 tsp. almond extract
Cinnamon or dry red sugar-free flavored gelatin

Have egg whites at room temperature. With electric beater, beat whites until very stiff. Add powdered milk and mix on low speed. Add almond extract, vanilla and sweetener. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 275 degrees (135 Celcius degrees) for 40 to 50 minutes until dry and lightly browned. Remove from oven and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon or gelatin.

Also feel free to add any decorations to make it special and delicious!

Fall Ceramic Plates

It is getting chilly and the leaves are changing colours. The most beautiful time of the year, when all the leaves start falling off. I am amazed by how magnificent this is. 

I have made these ceramic plates inspired by the exquisite falling leaves of the autumn. Make sure to have a look at them in my shop!

Interesting facts about Fall:

- Why is the season called "Fall"?

About 500 years ago, when Middle English was spoken, expressions like "fall of the leaf" and "fall of the year" were quite common, and the season name "Fall" comes from them.

- What gives leaves their red color? 

Glucose trapped in the leaves. Brown comes from the waste trapped there.
The red and purple color come from anthocyanin pigments formed in the dying leaves. Its the same pigment which is common in purple grapes, red apples and violets.

Halloween Pumpkins

Halloween has arrived!! Let's see who your neighbors really are!!

Last week me and my daughter painted these pumpkins! A nice decoration for halloween. 

This year don't simply place some pumpkins in front of your house, but paint a face for them! You will have a more unique decoration and all your neighbors will be amazed as they walk down the street &+ the children coming trick or treating will be happy to see smiling pumpkins as well!

Halloween Muffins

Halloween is aproaching! Stucked up on candies for Trich or Treating yet?
Here is a special pumpkin muffin receipe for halloween! Have a yummy halloween!

Ingredients list:

2 medium eggs.
3 cups of flour.
1 cup of brown sugar.
1 cup of milk.
1 cup of canned pumpkin.
½ cup of unsweetened applesauce.
2 tablespoons of white sugar.
4 teaspoons of baking powder.
1 teaspoon of salt.
1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
1 teaspoon of nutmeg.
1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice.
¼ teaspoon of cloves.
¼ teaspoon of allspice.
¼ teaspoon of ginger.

Instructions:

Mix all of the ingredients.

Fill sprayed muffin tins almost to top.

Bake at 325°F for about 25 minutes.

Makes about 15 muffins.
